Sir Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the World Scout Movement, once said that a Scoutmaster should "never do anything a boy can do." We take this very seriously. Our entire program is run with Baden-Powell's admonition in mind! Our Scouts plan and execute every aspect of our program with adult guidance and support.
Troop 186 features monthly campouts organized by the patrol leadership which include weekend camp outs at boy scout camp sites in the St. Louis surrounding area. We also enjoy additional outdoor activities such as backpacking trips, hiking, and other camping/outdoor experiences.
As a troop, we look forward to our annual Boy Scout Camp at S Bar F Scout Ranch in Knob Lick, Missouri. Follow this link to view this wonderful camp's Facebook Page: S Bar F Scout Ranch
In addition to the fabulous outdoor fun we get to experience, we are also active in our community and our Charter, Atonement Lutheran Church; and have provided services to various organizations as part of our member's quest for Eagle Scout, or just to assist where it's needed. We are a service-oriented troop who truly enjoy helping our community where help is needed.
Please feel free to explore our site and learn more about our program. If you'd like to stop by and sit in on a meeting, we meet most Tuesday's during the year at 7:00pm in the Cafeteria at Atonement Lutheran Church, 1285 N New Florissant Rd, Florissant, MO 63031.
Scout On!
