Our objective is to provide young boys ages 7-11 in the Long Neck De (Pot Nets) and the surrounding areas an opportunity to enjoy the fun and excitement of scouting, without a large expense to their parents. The Pack will provide fundrasiers and events so that the cubs can earn monies to pay for their own camping so that parents are not overburden with an additional expense in the house hold. To join Pack Five the cost is twenty five dollars if your low on funds your son may earn that cost at one of our fundrasisers in his first months of scouting.
This past year 2008/2009 our boys achieved many ranks 6 Bob Cat ,2 Tigers, 5 Wolfs,
6 Bears , 2 Weblo ones .We had 5 Weblo Two's that earned the Arrow of Light. Cub Scouting is very flexible to everything else your young boy may be involved in today, whether it’s football, soccer, etc. Cub scouts is a all year program and they may enjoy scouts at their own pace.
Our mission is to show young boys how to be helpful, courteous and to always do your best.We will influence our cub scouts character and growth by positive reinforcement. Encourage good sportsmanship, pride and the ability to get along with others. We will also provide to both the parent and cub scout a bond they will never forget. They will have fun and exciting new things to do. We will prepare them for a future in Boy Scouts or Sea Scouts.
Cub Scouts has the following purposes:
* Influences the boy’s character development and spiritual growth.
*Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
*Encourage sportsmanship and pride, Grow strong in mind and body
*Improve understanding within the family.
* Strengthen a boy’s ability to get along with others.
*Foster personal acheivement .Develop new interests and skills.
*Show a boy how to be helpful and do his best.
