Our Eagle Scouts Through The Years

The Eagle Scout Award represents many years of dedicated effort.  It is a firm demonstration of how people, working together through the years, can truly help mold a young man with a solid sense of leadership, citizenship, character, and responsibility.

2007       Jason Tye        Jason is the first scout to obtain the rank of Eagle in Troop 234.  For his Eagle project Jason built a team of Scouts, Leaders and other team members and had them repair and replace trails at Chalk Ridge Falls.  The team also replaced and repaired trail signs.  Jason has since served  U.S. Military and deployed in the Middle East.a He is currently a Texas Highway Patrol Officer.

2008        Logan   Glover          Logan's Eagle project involved replacing the sign at Trinity Baptist Church.  Working with a team from Trinity Baptist, Scouts and friends, the old sign had to be removed before the new one could be built, painted and put in place.  Logan's team  built this sign to last a long time.  Logan's family Pcs'd shortly after he earned his Eagle.

2009        Cory Thompson       Cory remained active with our troop until he left for college.  Cory posted a 4.0 average and made the Dean's list at the end of his first semester of college.

2009        James Tye                James chose his Eagle project based on his love of nature.  James's team cleared over three miles of greatly overgrown trails at  Miller's crossing.  James is a graduate of Harker Heights High School and is working in the medical field..

2009        Darrin Alba              Darrin chose to also work at Miller's Crossing.  Darrin led a team consisting of Scouts, Scouters and friends to remove old worn out safety rails and replace them with newly built ones along hiking trails.  His team also built and placed safety rails along the walking bridge that looks out over the fast moving creek.   Darrin earned his Eagle on October 15, 2009.  He continues to be active in our troop.  Darrin went on to  attend West Point Prep in the Fall of 2010..

2010        Sammy Clark           Sammy earned his Eagle on May 4, 2010.

2011        James Schwartz III   James chose to build a Serenity Garden at the Hope Pregnancy Center in Killeen, Tx for his Eagle Project. He recruited help from fellow Scouters and friends to assist in his project. He designed and created a peaceful scene with 2 benches surrounded by various flowers over looking a white pebble cross. James earned his Eagle on July 20, 2011.
2012        Aaron Dunn                Aaron chose to replace the picnic table and benches in the courtyard at Tinity Baptist Church.  Aaron built a team of friends, fomer and current scouts and family.  He was lucky enough to get to go to the company that made the table and benches and pour the cement into the mold.  He also got to help remove the mold and clean up the table and benches.  Aaron earned his Eagle on April 10, 2012.  Aaron is currently attending college in Texas where he will earn a degree in Music.  He plans to continue his scouting carreer somewhere down the road.

2012        Jesse Ramthum           Jesse's Eagle project was completed at Camp Arrowhead, Fort Hood. Jesse formulated a plan to reclaim campsites by installing signs and re organizing campfire rings and picnic tables and each site.  Jesse put together a team consisting of fellow scouts, scouters and family members for two work days.  He,  designed and hand made signs designating camp site names.  After all work was completed Jesse, with the help of family members completed the projext by installing a map of the camp with all campsites annotated.  Jesse earned his Eagle on May 29, 2012.  Jesse is currently  attending college at Hardin Simmons University, where he is majoring in ministry.
