For the Senior / Ambassador level - For the CARROT CAKE ONLY – If the girl is allergic to NUTS – And does not want to use the nuts to make the cake, she can leave off the 3 /4 cups of pecans. She must post it on her cake for each competition. So the judges know. It will still be judged the same as the others on flavor, but they will know no nuts are added. So they can judge accordingly. Please give out this recipe. It is now mentioned on the bottom of the recipe
This does not apply to any other cake or any other category. There are other choices in other categories without nuts.

Bake-Off Rules
11.All cakes must be prepared by the girls only.
2.All recipes must be prepared according to the instructions. No exceptions and No substitutions. DO NOT DECORATE. Individual ovens may vary; therefore, baking times may be adjusted if necessary.
3.Girls can only bake 1 (one) recipe only and only in her category.
4.Use only the size and type pan indicated in the recipe. Use only disposable pans.
5.Your name, phone number, troop number and service unit name should be labeled on the bottom ofthe serving pan or plate if the recipe calls for the item to be removed from the pan.
6.You must bake the same baked item for each of the three contests (troop, service unit, and county) you are eligible to enter.
7.All cakes must be brought to the judging locations cold. If cakes come warm from the oven, it will be disqualified. You must meet all schedules and times of each contest. The decision of the judges is final.
8.Frosting andtoppings will be judged as called for in the recipe.
