Wabash Valley District
The Wabash Valley District covers six Western Indiana counties, including Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vigo, and Southern Vermillion County. There are approximately 1,800 Scouts and 600 adult volunteers in 76 Scouting units. The function of the Wabash Valley District can be divided into four areas: Membership, Finance, Program, and Unit Service. In essence, these functions serve the purpose of extending opportunities for youth to join a Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop, Venturing Crew or Exploring Post; helping existing units provide quality program opportunities for their youth; and marshaling the resources of the district in terms of volunteers and money.
