Blue and Gold Assigments


Tigers: Salads, potato salad, fruit. Ballons

 

Wolfs: deserts, fruit, ice cream. Plates. Trash Bags. P

 

Bears: chili, cheese, chips. Napkins.

 

Webelos: condiments, pico. Utinsels. Trash bags

 

Fred--working on Meat donation.

 

Pack- drinks, ice, buns.

 

If I forgot anything let me know.

 

And the schedule:

 

11:30- set up food, start fire, set up games/ activities.

 

12:00-1:30- kids do activities, food prep.

 

1:30-2:30- eating and deserts

 

2:30-3:00- awards

 

3:00-4:00-- clean up.

Notes:

 

1. Re charter

•Roster emailed to den leaders by Pat

• Claudia, Ana & Jesse need a copy.-- Pat to fwd • update everyone on the newest scouts--Ask Chris to assist

 

 

By laws

 

•Have a copy for den families when it's approved by Council.--Ask Chris

 

 

2. Budgeting

 

•To start the year-

Roughly $ 20 per scout, for supplies, achievements etc...

Waiting for Council to approve. - Barbra & Chris are working on this based on our available funds.

 

 

**Requests:

John and Pat are requesting for Pack to assit Leaders pay for special Training. One example is Wood Badge about $180.00 that's 3 days, session I, in October & 3 days in November for session II. Only webelos leader, cub master have to go.

 

   Another training  needed is is less about $100- Pat to update more...

•Den leaders- requesting we invest in a Pack Master or Scout Lander for pack to manage documentation online. (about $50)

 

•The site would be accessable for the whole pack to view. The advancement team and leaders can post upcoming den achievements, achievements at home to be worked on, field trips and post what boys earned after pack meeting including Sports & Academics belt loops and pins, that were earned.

Camilo also said that medical forms and other documents were on Pack master but wasn't sure if it was on scout lander too..Pictures( w parents prior approval) and other tools are on these web resources.

 

• Advancement Chair Team wants to look at the sites more to see if this will work for the layout they're working on.

 

•Who would manage the site? ---Ask Fred to be in charge and den leaders , pack advancemt team, committee leaders and cubmaster to assist where needed. Certain  confidential information like medical forms and address information would only be accessable with special access by the previous mentioned.

 

 

3. Fundraiser

 

•Popcorn- the Commitment Letter was sent out July 15,2010 for our Pack.

 

•Popcorn Training will be at the Council Wide Meeting, August 12, 6-9 pm,

 

•Pat-Proposed for other fundraisers to help raise  more money for end of year ceremony and achievements, summer camps, summer pack field trips.

 

•Betty suggested we wait for the end of popcorn sales to see if the popcorn fundraiser was profitable for our budget and go from there... 

Camilo, Pat and the Romeros agreed. Sandy and John had left early.

 

 

4. 2010-2011 Calendar year

 

•Pat needs to post a calendar for everyone of the following:

 

•Meet two times a month on Mondays.

  2 Den meetings, 1 field trip will be held as per each dens schedule. 

Last Monday of the  second month will be the pack meet.

 

•Den Leaders to meet the last Monday of following month to keep up with finishing the year on time.

Brief Announcements by Committee Leaders on popcorn fundraiser updates....

 

Den Leaders to hold their own meetings w parents on den rules, by- laws given out and parent signatures needed by next den meeting, talent forms, medical forms updated , ask for parent assistants for attendance, advancement recordings, snacks, pack meeting planning....

 

Each den be asked to bring either drinks, snacks etc.. And cleans up afterwards-pat to assign
