WELCOME to BOY SCOUT TROOP 701 Bangkok, Thailand!

Troop 701 : True to Scouting values for 50 years

Welcome!  Troop 701 is Thailand's oldest BSA Troop, in fact, we are one of the oldest BSA Troops in South East Asia!

Troop 701 has been an active member of the American Community in Bangkok since 1962.  For 50 years, we have been preparing youth in Bangkok to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

701 meets on Tuesday evenings from 18:00 - 19:30 in the Elementary Multipurpose Room, located in the International School of Bangkok.

We belong to the BSA's Western District of the Far East Council Council (FEC) and we are chartered by ISB - International School of Bangkok.

We are a BOY-LED Troop!

Sir Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the World Scout Movement, once said that a Scoutmaster should "never do anything a boy can do."  We take this very seriously.  Our entire program is run with Baden-Powell's admonition in mind!  Our Scouts plan and execute every aspect of our program with adult guidance and support.

701 is an "outdoor troop" featuring monthly camp outs organized by the patrol leadership which include over-nighters from Thailand's beaches to the mountains, several "high-adventure" activities such as multiple-day sea canoeing, backpacking trips, hiking, and other camping/outdoor experiences.  We are also active in community service projects.
