COURT OF HONOR
3/5/15
Please join your friends and invite your families to attend our quarterly Court of Honor.
The meeting starts a little earlier than normal, 7 P.M.

This Weekend
3/14-3/16
Gettysburg Camping
Up to 10 Scouts will travel to Gettysburg PA for a little Winter Camping, Hiking, and Service
Intended for older Scouts, this trip will present opportunities to work on the 5 patches of the Gettysburg Historical Trail, culminating in the medal.  The opportunity to fulfill Hiking, Cooking, Camping, American Heritage, and Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge Requirements exists.  As always, patches are part of your dues, medals are paid for by Scouts.
There will also be an opportunity to earn the Historic Trails Award.
There will be two hikes around the battlefield, and tours of three historical areas: the Visitor's Center, downtown Gettysburg, and Eisenhower's Farm.

BSA Medical Forms:
Every year Scouts, leaders, and parents/guardians who attend Scouting events need to have Parts A and B of the BSA Annual Health and Medical record.  Those attending events lasting 72 hours or more need to have Part C in addition to Parts A and B.  Guidelines can be found on the BSA website at http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/HealthandSafety/ahmr.aspx

Part D is mandatory for attendance at High Adventure events, such as Philmont, Northern Tier, or Sea Base:  http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/part_d.pdf

Physicals are good for one (1) year (12 months) from the date they are signed by the medical professional.
