Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 171
Where Scouting is Fun!
Cub Scout Pack 171 has been active since 1963

Cub Scout Pack 171 is chartered at the First English Lutheran Church, at 440 Garfield Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Prior to that CS Pack 171 was chartered at the United Methodist Church since its beginings in 1963.

After our 2011 Kick-Off we have 35 Cub Scouts in our pack, and over eleven trained leaders.

Our pack recruits new Cub Scouts from three local schools in Wisconsin Rapids -- Mead, Howe, and Immanuel Lutheran. But we welcome any boy from first to fourth grade, or ages 7 to 10, who would be interested in joining the fun with CS Pack 171! And there are plenty of opportunities for parents to take on leadership roles, also.

We offer a year round program involving both the family and the scouts -- past summertime events include participation in the Cranberry Blossom Festival parade, fishing, and attending Scout Night at the WR Rafters baseball game. Both our leaders and Cub Scouts enjoy attending the Cub Scout Camporee -- a two day event in June highlighting numerous activities, including a Webelos Overnight Program, at the Grand Rapids Lions Club park. 2012 year's theme -- CUB SCOUT OLYMPICS!
Winter events include heading to the Rhinelander area at the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation for Polar Cubs Winter Camp. Webelos scouts can also attend a two night campout at Camp Tesomas every September. Year round special events make scouting fun!

For more information about Cub Scouts, please check out the links on the left side of the page under Public Site. For new members or old, there are plenty of informative links to check out, and possibly even some things that are new to everyone!

Everyone likes to participate in the Pack 171 Pinewood Derby races held every January. Plenty of special trophies, and a potluck lunch shared by all attending are just part of this great event. This is a family event for all ages!
