What is the Pack Committee?
The pack committee is a group of adult volunteers, who are almost always parents of cubs in the pack. The committee are not the "direct contact" adults, who are the leaders who deliver the cub scout program to the boys. The committee is primarily focused on the organization, logistics, planning and management of the unit. The goal of the committee is to make sure that the den leaders and cubmaster have the tools they need to make the program fun and beneficial for the boys. The positions that currently do not have a name next to them, are unfilled. If you feel like you have an interested in joining the committee, please contact the Committee Chair. The BSA national website has information on the
specific committee position responsibilities.
What is the Pack Committee Meeting?
The Pack Committee Meeting is the monthly planning session for all
of our pack activities. All committee members and den leaders should
try to be at each meeting and all parents are invited and encouraged to
attend as well. During the meeting the committee will review the
current budget, present information from our District Roundtable and
Council sources, plan the next month's activities, answer questions and
discuss concerns, and hold general discussion on the pack program. The pack meeting is listed on the parents' calendar. Generally this meeting runs for 5:30 to 7pm on Thursdays when the Tiger Cub den is not meeting.
