Welcome to the Lion Den!

My name is _____________ and I am your Lion Den leader.  I am excited to help guide your child into meeting his Bobcat and Lion requirements. Please have your child bring his handbook to each meeting and wear his uniform.  Each Lion's adult partner is REQUIRED to participate with him at all meetings, including outings. Cub Scouts can only happen when parents come together. I am a parent and work full-time just like you, so your help is essential to making the program possible.
The Lion Den will meet at Swans Creek Elementary on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 PM in the gym.  Our pack meetings will occur one Tuesday per month also at Swans Creek from 7:00-8:00 PM in the cafeteria.  The full meeting calendar is only available to registered users on this website.  If you have any questions, please contact me via email at: __________________________.

A family, home, and community centered program that encourages ethical decision-making skills.

Summary
The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, and family understanding. Each den meeting is designed to help the scout meet one of the requirements for advancement. Additional meetings may be held for electives. Adult partners are encouraged to participate with their Cub Scouts while in the Lion Den. An adult partner can be any mature person over 18 years of age, but does not have to be a parent.

Advancement
Cub Scouts are assigned to a den based on their age and grade level. Immediately upon joining, they will work on earning the Bobcat Rank.

Cub Scouts can simultaneously work towards the Bobcat rank and their age-appropriate rank (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos), but these cannot be awarded until Bobcat has been awarded.

New scouts can join at any time! Although the unit calendar is restricted to registered users, feel free to attend to our next meeting:
