Joining Our Pack

Welcome to Pack 391's Joining Our Pack Page.
Cub Scouts are for boys and girls, Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Our pack's central geographical area is Rancho San Diego, which covers the unincorporated areas of El Cajon, La Mesa, Jamul and Spring Valley.

We are allowed to actively recruit boys from these three elementary schools:
Vista Grande
Rancho San Diego
Jamacha
We are not limited to only having scouts from these schools.  While we do not actively recruit from other schools, you may join our pack no matter where you live or which school your child attends.  Children from these other elementary/primary schools have joined our pack:
Anza, Avocado, Christian, Dehesa, Fuerte, Jamul, Meridian, & W.D. Hall

Come to our September Registration / Information Meeting on Saturday afternoon, September 15th, 2018 from 1 pm - 3 pm at the Church of St. Luke, 1980 Hillsdale Road, El Cajon, 92019.  The meeting start promptly at 1 pm.

If you cannot attend the registration / information meeting, you may send an email to the registration chair by clicking on the "Contact Our Pack" button at the top of this page to let us know.  We will make arrangements for you to join at a more convenient time and place.

REQUIRED FORMS TO TURN IN:

Youth Registration Form:

All youth must be registered with the BSA.
Your Pack Registration Chair will handle all registrations with the form you turn in.

Adult Application Form:

All adults registering to be leaders or committee members must fill out an application form and take Youth Protection Training (YPT) online prior to their application being accepted by the council office.  You will still turn in your adult application to the Registration Chairman without the YPT training, who will hold on to it until a copy of the applicant's YPT certificate is attached.  It will then be forwarded to the Council office.  All adult applications must approved by the Pack Committee Chairman and the Chartered Organization Representative. Their decisions are final.  There must also be an opening in the position desired for the application to be approved and processed.

Annual Health & Medical Form and Medical Insurance Card
:

All registered adults and scouts must include an Annual Health & Medical Record Form with their registration fee.  This is a BSA requirement.  A photocopy of your medical insurance card must be attached to the Annual Health & Medical Record Form.  Please use paper clips not staples as we have to remove them to make photocopies.

Pack Guidelines Acknowledgement Form:

At least one parent must sign an acknowledgement that they have read and understand the Pack Guidelines (formerly Pack By-Laws).  These are the rules governing pack operations along with scout, parent, and guest conduct.  Acknowledgement forms are valid for as long as you are with the pack.

Current members, please read the Roundup Announcement Page for more info on returning scouts.  (You'll have to log in for that).
Our goal is to make joining our pack and/or returning a smooth and easy process for everyone.
