Become a Girl Scout

The first thing you need to do is register.  If you live in the Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA Regional Council, visit our website to register.  If you are not sure what Council you should register in, please visit the Council Finder at the National Girl Scout website.

Once you are registered, the Recruiter for your area will work with you and local troop leaders to find a placement for your daughter.

Volunteering

As a volunteer, you'll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they're capable of more than they ever imagined.

You'll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last long after the meeting is over. Imagine the smiles, the excitement, the memories made--those are the moments you'll share at Girl Scouts.

Being a volunteer today is as easy as...

  • Meet the Minimum-There must be 5 girls per troop.
  • Hold Meetings-Volunteers can use their schedule to decide how many and how long meetings should be!
  • Free Training-GSHPA will train volunteers on everything they need to know before they start!
  • Pass-All volunteers must pass a free background check.

Visit our "Forms" section of this site for the required paperwork for adult volunteers.

Contact our GSHPA Membership Coordinator, Jordan DeVan, for more information and to get the process started.  Her email is jdevan@gshpa.org.
