Welcome to Daisy Troop 3376!

Here is some information you will need to begin your journey with us!

Meetings are every other Thursday from 4-5:30PM.  We meet in the ________ directly after school.  You will need to send a note to your child's teacher to inform them of the transportation change.  The teachers are good about releasing all the girls together and making sure they get to the __________.

Dues - We collect $12 along with your registration form.  The dues and the form go to the Girl Scout Council office.  The form and the dues are required annually.
We also collect $12/year for Troop dues.  These are used for supplies throughout the year.  Finally, we collect $1 from the girls at every meeting.  This is more about teaching responsibility than collecting the money, but we do use the money to support our effort this year of providing HEALTHY snacks.  And since we are providing them, you will not be asked to sign up to bring them on your "snack day."

Uniforms and Supplies - You will need to purchase a uniform.  We wear the blue tunic.  You can wear it over any shirt, and you do not need any special pants, skirt, socks, shoes, or anything else.  Just the tunic.  But you will need to purchase the following insignia:

1.  American Flag Patch
2.  Daisy Council Membership Patch (GS West Council)
3.  Yellow Insignia Tab
4.  World Trefoil Pin (WAGGS Pin) (The blue one in the picture below, this goes on the yellow insignia tab)
5.  Daisy Girl Scout Membership Pin (The gold one in the picture below, this goes on the yellow insignia tab)
6.  Troop Numerals (3,3,7 & 6)

You will also need to purchase these items, but instead of attaching them to your uniform, you will give them to one of the leaders.  We keep them, then award them to the girls as they earn them.  They are filed by girls name, so there will never be a question of someone getting or not getting one when they weren't supposed to, etc.

You can purchase an entire set from the Girl Scout Shop for about $45 plus you get a groovy euro bag to carry everything in!  This set includes your books and some of the the insignia, but you will still have to purchase  *The Daisy Petal Set *The Journey Award Patch Set *Troop Numerals *Council Membership Patch This is by far the easiest way to go.  Shipping can take a while though, so order early.  You can order the other items online or go to the Council Scout Shop located at  121 NE 50th in OKC.  This is on 50th, just east of Broadway Extension.

Sound like a lot?  It's not really too bad.  It's just that it all comes at once in the beginning.  If you need help getting your dues paid, the Council offers scholarships for those who need it, and the uniform can always come a little later if needed.  We sometimes have extra patches from girls who have dropped out, so be sure and check with one of the leaders.  We might even have a tunic!
