There is a new Oregon law that went into effect recently requiring anyone age 14 or older operating a canoe (over 10ft in length) to carry an Aquatic Invasive Species Permit. This annual permit, which may be purchased online, costs $5 (fee waived for Scouts), and is transferable, meaning it can be loaned to friends or transferred from one manually powered craft to another.
